Mimi Chakraborty to launch her YouTube channel in September

Actress and politician Mimi Chakraborty, known for her performances in Bojhena Se Bojhena (2012), Dhananjoy (2017), and Crisscross (2018), is set to launch her music album with a YouTube channel.

The popular actress, who made her debut as a playback singer with the song 'Keno Je Toke' from Mon Jaane Na (2019), made the announcement on Twitter with the cover photo of her album, featuring her in a stylish avatar in a foreign location.

The newly elected member of Parliament revealed in the tweet, "After months of brainstorming, never-ending meetings and hours of sleepless days and nights, here comes the first look of my dream project."

In the cover photo, she can be seen posing in a bright red outfit, part of it flying like a cape, with some hot-air balloons in the backdrop. The whole image suggests that the songs have been shot in some exotic locations.

The album will be launched in September and will contain Hindi and English songs. Though the busy artiste did not reveal much about the composer or the lyricist of her songs; according to a report in The Indian Express newspaper, the actress was planning the launch since she made her debut with 'Keno Je Toke', which became quite popular in a short span of time.

Chakraborty told The Indian Express, "I have always chased my dream. Being from a small town like Jalpaiguri, I didn’t know how life would treat me. But I always wanted to do something new. My fans have seen me in my films and advertisements. Through my YouTube channel, they would get to see another side of Mimi.

"Of course, music would be a major portion of my YouTube channel. But apart from music, we will also have other elements," she added.

Chakraborty reportedly did thorough research by watching many music videos before conceptualizing her own and is now happy with the outcome.
