Girlz song ‘Aaichya Gavat’: A trio of girlfriends dance away without a care in the world

As we know, Girlz (2019) is about three young girls having fun, just like how the 'Boyz' did the same in the previous two films, Boyz (2017) and Boyz (2018) by the same director Vishal Devrukhkar. Naturally, this film should have a party song featuring the three leads. 

‘Aaichya Gavat’ is that song from Girlz where the three friends – Ankita Lande, Ketaki Narayan and Anvita Phaltankar – dance away wildly without a care in the world. It’s a fun song set in the party capital of India – Goa. After roaming around the city on the hired scootys, the three girls decide to end the day in a grand way. 

Mandar Cholkar’s lyrics are a smart mix of the old world (Aaichya Gavat) and the contemporary era with mention of selfie, dating, etc. The same can be said about the composer duo Praful-Swapnil as well. The Ganpati visarjan type sounds are mixed in well with modern beats. Some rich production design is also visible here. 

Singers Vaishali Samant, Kavita Raam and Mugdha Karhade have given voice to the three girls by showing the right energy and spunk needed. Similarily, the leads Lande, Narayan and Phaltankar give it their all with enthusiastic dance steps. They also look convincing as best friends.
