Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Gulabo Sitabo (2020) was scheduled to release on 24 April 2020. But the film now be hitting the theatres two months ahead of schedule on 28 February 2020.

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, Gulabo Sitabo is a comedy about a grumpy old landlord and his young tenant. The roles are essayed by Bachchan and Khurrana respectively.

The makers have shared a new still from the movie which features both the actors. While Bachchan is in his old man avatar, Khurrana is dressed in a simple, old-fashioned way. Both actors completed shooting the film in July this year.

This is the second time that Sircar is directing Bachchan after Piku (2015), which also starred Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. The film was appreciated by critics and audiences alike. The filmmaker had produced Bachchan’s hard-hitting drama Pink (2016), which also went onto become successful.

Sircar has also directed another film with Bachchan in the form of Shoebite years ago. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been released yet as the project has been embroiled into controversy.

This is also Khurrana’s second film with Sircar after the path-breaking Vicky Donor (2012). The film restarted Sircar’s career and introduced Khurrana as an actor to look out for in the future.
