Bala song 'Naah Goriye': Ayushmann Khurrana jigs with Sonam Bajwa in B Praak's hip remake

Just because Ayushmann Khurrana plays a balding man seeking love in Bala (2019) does not mean he has to stay away from eye-catching numbers.
The latest song 'Naah Goriye' from the film sees the actor step into some jazzy shoes and a glittering stage as he jives to B Praak's remake of the hit number sung by Harrdy Sandhu. The song features the voices of Harrdy Sandhu and Swasti Mehul.
The song, by reference of visuals, does not seem to have a direct connection with the film. It is more of a promotional song, and as such, works on the glamour and style appeal of Khurrana's presence. The actor sheds his 'bald' appearance in the film and dons a sharp suit to get on stage with Sonam Bajwa.
The song, sung by Harrdy Sandhu and Swasti Mehul, is an update on the 2017 chartbuster of the same name. Composed by Jaani and B Praak, the latest version does not veer much from the original. While retaining the familiar rhythm and structure, the song gets a more stylistic change with additional lyrics from Jaani, to feature on Sonam Bajwa.
The tone of the composition and the vocals are also much subtler than the original, which oozes with attitude. This also reduces the pace of the song, giving it an enjoyable twist.
The song is the second remix, after Badshah's version of 'Don't Be Shy'. Where the first one ran into controversy with the original composer slamming it, the makers have chosen to stick with the original composer this time around. A safer, and preferable choice by any means.
Bala, directed by Amar Kaushik, is set to release in theatres on 7 November. Watch the song from Bala along with the original below, and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
