On the holiday of Diwali, film collections are expected to fall. But the numbers of Housefull 4 (2019) didn’t see a major drop. After earning Rs18.50 crore nett and Rs18 crore nett on the first two days, the reincarnation comedy made Rs14.25 crore nett yesterday, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

Starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Bobby Deol, the film has so far made Rs50.75 crore nett so far. It has reached the half century mark in three days.

As per our trade sources, Housefull 4 is made at a budget of Rs160-170 crore. The film needs to continue its good run in order to gain success at the box office. Today being a major holiday across India, the film will be looking to cash in on it.

The other two Diwali releases, Made In China (2019) and Saand Ki Aankh (2019) have continued to struggle. The Rajkummar Rao-starrer opened at Rs1 crore. The film then made Rs.1.50 crore and Rs1.25 crore in the next two days respectively. The film’s total currently stands at Rs3.75 crore nett.

Saand Ki Aankh, starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, has fared slightly better than its opening day, but not significantly. After a disastrous opening of Rs45 lakh [updated figure], the film made Rs1.10 crore and Rs95 lakh respectively on Saturday and Sunday.

Both Made In China and Saand Ki Aankh are made at a budget of Rs30 crore each. They have an uphill task ahead of them to reach anywhere close to that amount.
