While Vidyut Jammwal is incredible as ever while performing jaw-dropping sequences, they are getting tiresome now.

Commando (2012) and Commando 2 (2017) were action entertainers starring Vidyut Jammwal. The trailer for the third film in the franchise suggests that it will offer more of the same.
There are two types of patriotic films in vogue these days — those in which love for the country flows naturally through the narrative and those in which it is done almost forcibly. Going by the trailer, Commando 3 falls in the second category.
We have a villain (Gulshan Devaiah) who mouths dialogues like “Hindustan khoon ke aansu royega [India will weep tears of blood]”. In another scene, our Commando goes: “Pehle pardon mein chhupta tha, ab mardon mein [Used to hide behind curtains earlier, now hides among people]." The best (worst?) is when a man tells Jammwal, “Kaafi jazbaati ho [You seem the emotional sort]” and he replies, “Sirf Bharatwaadi [I am just an Indian].”
Commando 3 also follows the outdated practice of including a dialogue to 'appease' Muslims. This is corny even by the standards of the 1990s, let alone 2019.
Apart from this, the trailer is peppered with Jammwal displaying his acrobatics. No doubt he is incredible while performing these jaw-dropping sequences. But they are getting repetitive and tiresome now. Devaiah looks in good form as a villain again after Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (2019).
Directed by Aditya Datt and co-starring Adah Sharma, Commando 3 will be released on 29 November. Watch the trailer below and tell us if you would like to watch the film.
