In Dabangg 2 (2012), Salman Khan continued his antics from the first movie released in 2010. Hence, it is normal to expect him to do the same in Dabangg 3, the third part in the franchise.
Chulbul Pandey does provide his usual doses of witty dialogues and lots of maar-dhaad (fighting) in the film. But this is the first time that a Dabangg movie will also have an important flashback portion.
While the film has Khan and Sinha in their usual roles as Chulbul and Rajjo, we are also given a glimpse of his ex-girlfriend of the past played by Saiee Manjrekar (daughter of filmmaker and actor Mahesh Manjrekar) to let us know how he became Dabangg. A villain in the form of Kiccha Sudeep makes life hell for them. Hence, Pandey now has to also settle personal score with him.
Apart from this surprise, the trailer is exactly what one expects from a Salman Khan movie when he plays Chulbul Pandey. And yes, there is a shirtless scene too. But we wonder why the makers broke it in the trailer itself.
All three Dabangg movies are directed by three different directors. After Abhinav Kashyap and Arbaaz Khan directed the first two, it’s now the turn of Prabhu Deva to helm a film in the franchise. This time Khan has also contributed in the story and screenplay of the movie.
Dabangg 3 will be releasing on 20 December. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you would be keen to watch the film.
