The 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is pulling out the stops for its upcoming golden jubilee edition. The festival will screen 14 films at two different venues in Goa as part of its open-air screenings section.
These include older classics like Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958) and Padosan (1968). Other hits include Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Hera Pheri (2000), Chennai Express (2013), Badhaai Ho (2018), and Total Dhamaal (2019) which will be screened at Jogger’s Park, Altinho.
Meanwhile, at Miramar Beach, films from the Indian Panorama section will be screened. The Konkani film Nachom-ia Kumpasar, the Hindi films Super 30 (2019), Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), Gully Boy (2019), the Marathi film Anandi Gopal (2019), the National award-winning Hellaro (2019, Gujarati) and the Telugu film F2: Fun and Frustration (2019) will be shown.
The theme of this year's screenings is ‘The Joy of Cinema’ from 21 to 27 November. The open-air screenings will be open to everyone and do not require any registration. Entry would be free for all.
The premier Indian film festival will be held from 20 to 28 November.
