Motichoor Chaknachoor song 'Crazy Lagdi': Athiya Shetty, Nawazuddin Siddiqui squabble their way into love

Nawazuddin Siddiqui's transformation into a romantic hero is slowly coming into shape. In Motichoor Chaknachoor, Siddiqui charms Athiya Shetty's carefree girl-next-door to marry him. Or is it the other way round?
The latest song 'Crazy Lagdi' catches the wacky weirdness of Shetty's character Anita aka Annie that draws the attention of Siddiqui.
While Siddiqui falls flat for Shetty, it takes a while for her to be convinced. So, as usual, Siddiqui resorts to the ideals of every Hindi cinema hero from following her on her morning jogs to driving her friends. They even get into the playful squabbles that every neighbourhood romance blossoms from.
Composed by Amjad Nadeem Amir, the song has a very irreverent and playful touch that goes well with its theme. Swaroop Khan delivers the song with the right energy to keep you hooked to it. But the composition fails to lift beyond the initial few notes. The lyrics by Kumaar are fun to voice along to, and might make this more redeemable.
Directed by Debamitra Biswal, Motichoor Chaknachoor is set to release in theatres on 15 November. Watch the song here, and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
