National award-winning filmmaker Rima Das is now collaborating with acclaimed Chinese filmmaker Jia Zhangke on an anthology of short films. The films, made by directors from the BRICS (Brazil Russia India China and South Africa) nations, will be screened at the upcoming Pingyao International Film Festival.
The director shared the news on her social media account today.

Titled, For Each Other, the short film will be the first project by Rima Das to hit the festival circuit after the success of Village Rockstars (2017) and Bulbul Can Sing (2018).
Awara affected my cultural identity: Jia Zhangke
The anthology, titled Neighbours, is backed by Jia Zhangke. Zhangke won international acclaim for his films Still Life (2006), A Touch Of Sin (2013), and Ash Is Purest White (2018)
The anthology consists of five short films by directors Beatriz Seigner, Alexander Zolotukhin, Han Yan, and Jenna Bass, in addition to Rima Das.
