Spruha Joshi plays Sonali Kulkarni’s friend in Vicky Velingkar

The film will be her third release of the year after Welcome Zindagi and Baba. 

The makers of the Marathi movie Vicky Velingkar have revealed another character from the movie. Spruha Joshi will be playing Vidya, a friend of Sonalee Kulkarni, who plays the titular character in the movie directed by Saurabh Verma. 

The note on the poster translates to, “Will she [Vidya] be able to save Vicky?” This indicates that the character will have a good part to play in the thriller and will be in a position to bail Vicky out from trouble. 

Vicky Velingkar will be the third release of the year for Joshi after Welcome Home and Baba. 

Recently, the makers also revealed another character from the movie called Mask Man who identity is still hidden. Speaking about the character, Verma had said in an official statement, “Marathi films never had such a character of a Mask Man who has an important role in Vicky Velingkar, but the audience will have to wait to see if the good prevails over the bad.” 

He also revealed the character of the protagonist saying, “Vicky Velingkar is a comic book artist and a clock seller who [gets] entangled in an unexpected life msystery. The film is about a female underdog who rises against all odds.” 

Vicky Velingkar will be released on 6 December.
