Srijit Mukherji, Pratim D Gupta begin shoot for Dwitiyo Purush and Love Aaj Kal Porshu together

SVF Entertainment Pvt Ltd celebrated the mahurats of Srijit Mukherji’s Dwitiyo Purush and Pratim D Gupta’s Love Aaj Kal Porshu on 15 October as both directors embarked on shooting their respective films.

Mukherji’s Dwitiyo Purush (2020) is a sequel to the acclaimed thriller Baishe Srabon (2011) and Gupta’s film celebrates the eternal essence of love through changing times.

Dwitiyo Purush is slated to be released next year, marking Mukherji's tenth year in the industry. Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen will reprise their roles from the previous film.. The story of Dwitiyo Purush is supposed to take off where Baishe Srabon ended. While the rest of the cast of the film have not been revealed yet, Mukherji has stated that Dwitiyo Purush will attempt to explore the relationship between Abhijit Pakrashi (Chatterjee) and Amrita (Sen).

On other hand, featuring Arjun Chakraborty and Moumita Sarcar, Love Aaj Kal Porshu is a take on the eternal essence of true love, with twists.

Gupta’s last film Shantilal O Projapoti Rohoshyo (2019), featuring Ritwick Chakraborty as a journalist turned detective, garnered praise. Love Aaj Kal Porshu is Gupta’s first venture with the SVF team.

Mukherji has been regularly working with the SVF team, is currently rejoicing the third week of his recent release Gumnaami (2019), featuring Prosenjit Chatterjee as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
