Renuka Shahane starts her next, Tribhanga, as director with Kajol, Tanvi Azmi, Mithila Palkar

Actress Renuka Shahane has begun her second directorial project. The film is titled Tribhanga and it will be shown exclusively on the streaming platform Netflix. It is a family saga starring Kajol, Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar in lead roles. 

The film is produced by Kajol’s husband and star actor Ajay Devgn under his banner Ajay Devgn Ffilms and filmmaker Siddharth P Malhotra. 

Tribhanga went on floors yesterday, 14 October. The news was revealed by Kajol on her social media channels. She shared the picture of the clapboard and wrote, “No caption needed.” 

The cast of the movie and the fact that it is coming on Netflix was revealed by Devgn’s banner’s Twitter page on 9 October. “Big News!! Ajay Devgn joins hands with Netflix India for multiple projects... Their first collaboration will be Renuka Shahane's family saga, Tribhanga that stars Kajol, Mithila Palkar, Tanvi Azmi and Kunal Roy Kapoor... Produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms, Siddharth P Malhotra & Banijay Asia,” said the tweet. 

This is Shahane’s second film as a director and first in Hindi. She had directed the Marathi movie Rita (2009). It starred Pallavi Joshi in the titular role along with Shahane herself, Jackie Shroff, Mohan Agashe and others.
