The producers revealed that they have already conceptualised a second film for next Puja, based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s story Durga Rohoshya.

Featuring Parambrata Chatterjee as sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi and Rudranil Ghosh as his confidante and author Ajit Bandyopadhyay, the poster seems to have designed with a background set in Rajasthan.

Against a sepia tone backdrop featuring old structures of the Rajputana, Byomkesh and Ajit are seen to be on their toes to find out the truth behind the crime that takes place in the story of Durgo Rahashya (2020).

Coincidentally, earlier in an interview, Chatterjee had stated that two of his most favourite Byomkesh stories are Durga Rohoshya and Mognomainak.

Based on Mognomainak, the screenplay of Satyanweshi Byomkesh was written by Anjan Dutt, who had bought the rights for making Byomkesh films and made six films featuring Abir Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta as the sleuth and his confidante, respectively. Eventually, he handed the rights over to Greentouch Entertainment and needless to say, he will work as the screenplay and creative producer of the upcoming Byomkesh ventures as well.
