The poster of Kaushik Ganguly’s upcoming venture Lokkhi Chhele was launched on 13 October on the auspicious occasion of Laxmi Puja. Lokkhi Chhele is Ganguly’s first film as director featuring his son Ujaan Ganguly, who debuted with Pavel’s Rosogolla (2018), as the protagonist.
Certain intriguing elements in the poster of the film by Windows Production House have already raised anticipations. In the poster, the facial expressions of junior Ganguly draws our attention. Marked with scars and certain infections, Ujaan’s face radiates compassionate look, as he holds a child in his arms.

The moment the gaze shifts from Ujaan’s face, it focuses in on the baby in Ujaan’s arms, with striking features. The child has four arms and perhaps, also has relation to the tagline, ‘When God is under human shelter’, with which the producers launched the poster. Needless to say, in the poster the miraculous baby in the arms have been referred to as God, under the shelter of Ujaan’s character.
Lokkhi Chhele: An Angel’s Kiss, is inspired by a real-life incident and its poster suggests a story that celebrates humanity over odds. In the film, Ujaan will be essaying a character, who hardly cares for himself.
The film has been shot in Kolkata, Birbhum and Odisha. Neither the producer nor the director have revealed further details regarding the rest of the cast of the film.
Lokkhi Chhele is due to be released in 2020.
