Senior Citizen stars an ensemble cast of young actors: See poster

Earlier this year in June, actor-filmmaker Ajay Phansekar had announced that his next film as a director is titled Senior Citizen. The film was supposed to begin filming soon afterwards. The first poster of the film was released this week. 

Although the film is titled Senior Citizen (2019), it features a young cast including Suyog Gorhe, Amruta Pawar, Sneha Chavan, Shruti Boradia, Kiran Tambe, Amol Jadhav, Gaurish Shipoorkar and Harshal Pawar. 

The poster shows these youngsters in an energetic mood with the background of a senior citizen whose back is facing us. The identity of the latter is currently kept under wraps. Although the idea of such a poster might have sounded good on paper, that is certainly not the case with the execution. This poster doesn’t quite impress you. 

Phansekar had earlier revealed that the film isn’t what it appears by the title. In an official statement, he had said, "Senior Citizen is a thriller film. The audience will get to see a different kind of story through this movie."

Phansekar has directed a number of films including the acclaimed Ratra Aarambh (1999) and the Hindi film, Encounter: The Killing (2002).
