Marjaavaan song 'Ek To Kum Zindagani': Nora Fatehi's moves add spice to this party remix

Composed by Tanishk Bagchi, the song is a remix of 'Pyar Do Pyar Lo' from Janbaaz (1986).

To call a remix the latest song would be injustice, but Tanishk Bagchi's new composition for Marjaavaan (2019) turns back the dial to the 1980s disco era.

The song, an updated remix of 'Pyar Do Pyar Lo' from Feroz Khan's Janbaaz (1986) features Nora Fatehi performing another dance number to add to her growing collection. Sung by Neha Kakkar and Yash Narvekar, the song is composed by Bagchi.

The song is set in a fight club/gambling den frequented by Sidharth Malhotra's rogues. Enter Nora Fatehi's new bride celebrating her bachelorette, and soon every letching rogue in the gallery gets a free dance by pretty women dressed in clothes short enough to give housing society aunties nightmares. But, that's just the setting.

Fatehi does her bit by turning up the heat with her moves, although all her attempts to woo Malhotra's handsome rogue only ends in him congratulating her for the upcoming nuptials. Quite the rain on her parade!

Nevertheless, Bagchi's composition is entertaining and uses the original rhythm and tune well. The song starts off with the second stanza of the original song, and uses that as the refrain rather than the original version of 'Pyar Do Pyar Lo'. Bagchi ups the percussion on the disco beats, making this a hip party anthem for today.

Compared to Rekha in the original, Nora Fatehi does much more with her moves. Her dancing abilities were never in question, and she continues to show off. Sidharth Malhotra has little to do in the song except sit and brood.

Neha Kakkar does a fantastic job of adding verve and style to Fatehi's moves. The singer's voice suits the composition well, and brings out the energy and seductiveness that the lyrics by Bagchi and AM Turaz convey. Yash Narvekar has a supporting role on the vocals, but does not make much of an impact.

Marjaavaan is directed by Milap Zaveri, and is set to release on 15 November. Watch the song below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
