A day after the trailer of his upcoming historical saga Panipat (2019) released, reports say that actor Arjun Kapoor has signed another big project. The yet-untitled film will see the actor paired opposite Rakul Preet Singh.
The film is a light-hearted drama produced by John Abraham, Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, and Nikkhil Advani.
Speaking about the film, Advani told the tabloid Mumbai Mirror, "It is a coming-of-age, cross-border love story, beautifully written by Anuja Chauhan, Amitosh Nagpal, and Kaashvie. It will be shot extensively in Punjab and Los Angeles and will feature Arjun and Rakul in never-seen-before avatars. We will be locking the title and the release date soon."
Kapoor has found the subject relatable. "I have grown up in a joint family so I understood that it’s the biggest pillar of love, strength and support. That’s the essence of our film, which has its heart in the right place. I’m having a blast even during the prep," he told the publication.
The film is the directorial debut of Kaashvie Nair. She is the daughter of veteran filmmaker K Shashilal Nair. She was the co-director of Advani's television series, P.O.W. Bandi Yuddh Ke. She has also assisted Advani in films like Patiala House (2010) and D-Day (2013).
The project will go on floors this month.
