Satellite Shankar song ‘Jai He’: Demonstrates Sooraj Pancholi’s commitment towards the nation

It is a golden rule in mainstream Hindi cinema that every army film should have a patriotic song about soldiers, their sacrifices and, of course, they love for the country. One such song that instantly comes to our minds is ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ from JP Dutta’s iconic Border (1997). ‘Kandhon Se Milte Hain Kandhe’ from Lakshya (2004) is also another popular number.

The upcoming film, Satellite Shankar (2019), also has its own song in this genre in the form of ‘Jai He.’ The song revolves around the titular character of Shankar (Sooraj Pancholi). It is about his good, kind nature as he serves not only Bharat Mata (Mother India) at the border but also the general population inside the country.

Sandeep Shirodkar’s music is passable, but the song is helped by Salman Ali’s deep vocals, which show off his wide range. Well-known lyricist Manoj Muntashir’s lyrics might not be extraordinary but they serve the purpose here.

The visuals aren’t consistent as we are also shown bits from the trailer of the film in between. The problem area here is also Sooraj’s acting skills.

The film sees Megha Akash cast opposite him. Going by the trailer, the film is about how the country helps a soldier return to duty on time.

Directed by Irfan Kamal, Satellite Shankar is all set to release on 8 November. Watch the song below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
