Did Sajid Nadiadwala, Akshay Kumar just confirm Housefull 5?

When a film in a successful franchise succeeds at the box office, there is bound to be a next film in the series. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if Housefull 4 (2019) is followed by Housefull 5 now. This is exactly what the franchise producer Sajid Nadiadwala and lead actor Akshay Kumar have hinted at this week.

Nadiadwala threw a success bash for Housefull 4, this year’s Diwali release, on Sunday, 24 November. It was not only attended by the cast of the fourth film but also by the cast from the previous films of the franchise. The attendees included Akshay, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Chunky Pandey, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde along with the director of the fourth film, Farhad Samji. 

The official Twitter page of Nadiadwala Grandson, Nadiadwala’s banner, shared a picture of the party where the producer is seen showing five fingers. This was followed up with Kumar sharing the same picture and captioning it, “Last night was a #HouseFull of fun with friends from Housefull 1, 2, 3 and 4 Gearing up for 5? I don’t know.” The last three words were his character’s catchphrase in Housefull 4. 

Plus, a report in the tabloid Mumbai Mirror quoted a source saying that not only is Housefull 5 happening, but it will also bring together all the main actors from all the four previous movies. 

We tried calling and texting Nadiadwala and Samji for official confirmation but couldn’t get any response.
