IPC 307 A is an underworld saga starring Sachin Deshpande in the lead: See poster

After directing Marathi films like Kalakaar (2013), Sangharsh Yatra (2017) and Shivya (2017), Sakar Raut will be producing an underworld saga titled IPC 307 A. The film is the directorial debut of Swapnil Deshmukh and it will star Sachin Deshpande in the lead role for the first time. 

Before this, Deshpande has acted in films like Harishchandrachi Factory (2010), Ajinkya (2012), Sanngto Aika (2014), Carry On Maratha (2015), Love Shagun (2016) and Family Katta (2016). The rest of the cast is currently kept under wraps and will be revealed later. The same is the case with the film’s released date as well. 

Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) deals with the crime of attempted murder and will likely revolve around a crime taking place under this section. 

The makers of IPC 307 A have released the first poster of the film. It has an intriguing image of Deshpande, wearing black, and holding a gun in his hand. He seems to be at an under construction building, where he is ready to shoot someone. Devotional symbols like a red tilak on his forehead and a locket of Sai Baba appear ironical.
