Good Newwz trailer: Mix up of spam and eggs in this Akshay, Kareena, Diljit, Kiara pregnancy goof up

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan team up again for a comic mix up in Raj Mehta's Good Newwz (2019). The trailer for the film was released today, with Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh completing the quartet of would-be parents who have mixed up their children. 

The trailer is funny, manic, and contains quite a few clichés that can be brushed aside for commercial interests. Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan play Varun and Deepti Batra, who are trying for a child. After failing several attempts, the couple choose to opt for In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). The process is a success, except there is one small slip up. 

The hospital has placed the wrong donor sperm in the wrong mother. This brings the Batras in contact with the other Batras, Honey and Monika Batra (Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani), who now hold their baby hostage. 

The trailer sees some ad hoc humour rising from this mix-up. Diljit Dosanjh looks the part as the naive Punjabi while Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan are tasked with the role of playing the urban suave couple. Kiara Advani is playing a loudmouth wife for a change from her demure self in recent films. 

The film is produced by Dharma Productions, and is set to release in theatres on 27 December. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
