Lata Mangeshkar is fine and progressing steadily, says her publicist

After some rumours surfaced on the internet regarding the health of Lata Mangeshkar, her publicist has put the record straight saying that the legendary singer is recovering well.
“Lata di is fine and progressing steadily. Request members of the media to please not give vent to rumours. Thank you for standing by us,” said Mangeshkar's publicist.
A source told the news agency Press Trust of India (PTI), “She is showing some signs of improvement but it will take time for her to recover. She has pneumonia and chest infection. Any person suffering from it takes time to recover from it.”
Mangeshkar was admitted in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Monday, 11 November, after she complained of breathing issues due to chest congestion.
Mangeshkar is considered one of the greatest singers of the Indian film industry. She started her career way back in the 1940s and has sung in various languages including Hindi and Marathi. She has been bestowed with the Dadasaheb Phalke award, the Bharat Ratna and three National awards.
