Apart from being a music composer, Ajay Gogavale, one half of the famous Ajay-Atul duo, is also an impressive singer. He has displayed his vocal talents in the song ‘Sundara’ from director Gajendra Ahire’s upcoming Kulkarni Chaukatla Deshpande (2019).
The song has an effect on you because Gogavale is completely immersed in it. His passion is audible throughout the number. Ahire’s lyrics are poetic as they explain the state of a person who has been mesmerized by the beauty of his lady love.
Ahire is also one of the music composers along with Chaitanya Adkar. The tunes are more contemporary while the lyrics bend more towards being traditional. The fusion works well here.
Apart from being the director, lyricist, and composer, Ahire has also acted in the song. The situation takes place in a club where Ahire is singing the track. Gogavale has given voice to Ahire, and this experiment appears questionable. Gogavale himself would have been a better choice, since he has acted in his songs previously.
In between the club visuals, the snippets from the film are running simultaneously featuring the lead pair of Sai Tamhankar and Rajesh Shringarpure. There is a certain storytelling here as the scenes gradually change from happy to serious or sad.
Kulkarni Chaukatla Deshpande will be released on 22 November. Watch the song and let us know if you would be keen to watch the film.
