The trailer of Argha Deep Chatterjee’s Mukhosh offers glimpses of the storyline, yet managing to retain the mystery of the thriller. Featuring Payel Sarkar, Rajatava Dutta, Santilal Mukherjee, Amrita Halder and Prantik Banerjee, Mukhosh attempts to deliver a different cinematic experience with its look and sound.
It is apparent from the trailer that Halder's character has lost her sister as she asks for police assistance in desperation to help her find her out. In Halder’s scenes, her dialogue delivery and dubbing sound a bit unnatural, which take away the intensity of some of the scenes.
However, on the other hand, Mukherjee and Dutta’s appearances help retain intrigue in some of the sequences as they have close conversations. In the film, Halder suspects her brother-in-law, played by Dutta, to be the reason behind her sister’s disappearance.
Mukherjee, on the other hand, plays the cop who undertakes the case of finding out the missing woman despite being aware of Dutta’s influential position in the society.
Sarkar, plays the love interest of Dutta in the film, and apparently, she has an interesting role to play in the entire turn of events. However, from the trailer, it is hard to get a sense of the traits of the characters.
The trailer is also filled with certain disjointed clips of violence, discovering dead body and characters finding themselves in unpredictable situations. However, the low light cinematography and the absence of many characters in the frames creates a suffocating scenario, which perhaps, has been purposely done by the director.
The tentative release date of the film is 6 December. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
