Well-known Marathi film actress Sai Tamhankar will now be seen in the Hindi film Mimi (2020). She will be starring alongside Kriti Sanon in the film. Tamhankar made the announcement in an unusual way by sharing a picture with Sanon on her Instagram page.
In the picture, the two actresses are seen sharing a bed with half their faces covered with their blankets. Tamhankar captioned the picture, “Peek-A-Boooooo !!!.” Mimi also stars Pankaj Tripathi in a pivotal role.

Mimi is directed by Laxman Utekar who made his directorial debut with Luka Chuppi (2019) which also starred Sanon alongside Kartik Aaryan.
Mimi is the official Hindi remake of the Marathi movie Mala Aai Vhaychay (2011) which deals with international surrogacy. The film was written, produced and directed by Samruddhi Porey, who also played a supporting actress in the movie.
Tamhankar has previously starred in Hindi films like Black & White (2008), Ghajini (2008), Hunterr (2015), City Of Gold (2010) and Love Sonia (2018). She would be seen next in a Marathi film, Kulkarni Chaukatla Deshpande, later this month. She also has Sachin Kundalkar’s Pondicherry which also stars Vaibhav Tatwawaadi and Amruta Khanvilkar.
