The boys in director Vishal Devrukhkar’s Boyz (2017) and Boyz 2 (2018) lived wild, unabashed lives. So, it is only logical for the girls in his upcoming film Girlz to do the same.
Thus, we have three close friends played by newcomers Ankita Lande, Ketaki Narayan and Anvita Phaltankar living carefree lives. As they are shown to be bindaas, it is necessary for them to be party animals. Their trip to India’s party capital Goa becomes wilder, as one can well imagine.
Despite the trailer being almost three minutes long, the makers haven’t revealed the story. Hence, we don’t know where their carefree lives lead them and the kind of conflicts they face.
The trailer does, however, give more than an idea that the film deals with the issue of modern girls facing the brunt from their more traditional family members on the kind of lives they lead. This is made clear in the scene where a character writes ‘#FamilySucks’ on a mirror.
But Girlz is not just about these three. Parth Bhalerao, one of the leads in Boyz and Boyz 2, also becomes an important part of their story.
Girlz will be released on 29 November. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you would be watching this film.
