The other two releases of this week, Bypass Road and Satellite Shankar, have turned out to be washouts at the box office.

Director Amar Kaushik’s Bala (2019) is all set to become Ayushmann Khurrana’s third box office hit of the year. After opening at Rs9.50 crore nett on Friday, the film saw a major jump on Saturday when it earned Rs15 crore nett, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
The positive reviews and word-of-mouth also ensured a slight increase on Sunday as the film made Rs17.50 crore nett. In three days Bala has amassed Rs42 crore nett.
As per our trade sources, Bala is made at a budget of Rs40-45 crore. This is much higher than other films starring Khurrana because the actor has now increased his fees after his rise in stardom. But as the film has almost recovered the money in the third weekend itself, this poses less of a worry for the producers.
This week also saw the release of Neil Nitin Mukesh-starrer Bypass Road (2019) and Sooraj Pancholi-starrer Satellite Shankar (2019). Both the films have turned out to be washouts at the box office.
The multi-starrer Housefull 4 (2019), which was this year’s big Diwali release, had a decent third weekend as it made Rs9.50 crore nett. Starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Bobby Deol, the film has so far made a total of Rs194.11 crore. The reincarnation comedy is set to reach Rs200 crore club despite the negative reviews and word-of-mouth.
