For many an individual plagued with an unfortunate name, Mithila Palkar's character in Chopsticks might feel as real as ever. Sachin Yardi's Netflix feature captures the ordeals of a young woman who tries to track down her stolen car with the help of an ex-con man.

The first teaser of the feature offers a look at Palkar's character, Nirma Sahastrabuddhe.

The teaser begins with a curious glimpse into young Nirma's life as she takes on the job of playing tour guide to Chinese tourists in Dharavi, all for the joy of buying a new car.

However, the joy is shortlived when she is conned out of the car during her first visit to a temple.

The teaser is a montage of shots that sets up the journey of the curiously named Nirma as she teams up with Abhay Deol's reformed con man to track down her car.

From her name that inevitably reminds us of the popular washing powder brand, and the brown goat that she is curiously dragging around, the teaser is odd and funny.

Palkar, like Radhika Apte, has become quite a popular face on the digital medium and Chopsticks looks like another interesting addition to her growing filmography. The film is directed by Yardi, who also directed Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (2012), second in the Kya Kool Hai Hum franchise.

The film will also feature Vijay Raaz. While Deol reportedly plays the ex-con man who helps Nirma out, Raaz has been cast as a local gangster.

Chopsticks will be streamed on Netflix from 31 May. Watch the teaser below and let us know if you are keen to catch this film.
