Officer Prabhat (Arjun Kapoor) and his team of unlikely heroes have to walk it alone in their quest to nail India’s most wanted criminal. Prabhat’s predicament is spelt out in the 'Akela' song from India’s Most Wanted (2019).
Lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned a simple motivational track for all lone warriors. With no help or support from government agencies, Prabhat and his men work hard to nab a wanted terrorist. As per sources, the antagonist in the film is modelled on Indian Mujahideen terrorists Yasin Bhatkal and Abdul Subhan Qureshi.
Prabhat and his men are clueless about how to complete their task, but they never give up, as the song suggests. It's an apt track that goes with the situation at hand.
Amit Trivedi has given a fine score that is in sync with the lyrics. Singer Abhijeet Srivastava is good in the initial part, but goes a little wayward in the middle.
This may not be a song one would listen to on loop, but it's a perfect self-help track. India’s Most Wanted will be released on 24 May.
Watch 'Akela' below and tell us if you will be watching the film.
