Anjan Dutt ready to start shooting for his food musical Shaheber Cutlet

After directing two films on the complexities of human relationships and emotions, Aami Ashbo Phirey (2018) and Finally Bhalobhasa (2019), Anjan Dutt is now all set to direct a comedy and food musical, titled Shaheber Cutlet. The film will feature Arjun Chakraborty as a chef, Suprobhat Das, Kanchan Mullick, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Biswanath Basu and the director himself will play crucial roles in it as well.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Dutt said, “It’s a romantic comedy, a food musical, and I am really excited about it. I feel it is the right time to spread warmth, joy and cheer through this new film. It’s a heartwarming, sweet film that celebrates life. It’s fun and wacky.”

As a chef, Chakraborty will be seen specialising in European cuisine. “I play an ambitious chef. He dreams big and has big plans. While trying to achieve those ambitions, he gets more than what he had bargained for by tracing his roots.”

The actor added that the journey of his character is “like discovering oneself even though that’s not what he was looking for. He had other plans but life had other plans for him. It’s a nice family drama.”

Dutt, who plays a narrator and a musician in the film, confirmed, “With this film, I will be revisiting the space of my popular films like Chalo Let’s Go (2008) and Madly Bangali (2009), which were young, peppy and fun.”

The director is yet to announce the female actors of the film. The shooting of Shaheber Cutlet will begin soon.
