Arjun Kapoor-starrer India’s Most Wanted (2019) has turned out to be a disaster at the box office. The film managed to earn only Rs10.05 crore in its first week, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
After a low first weekend of Rs7.35 crore, the Raj Kumar Gupta-directed movie has struggled in the weekdays where the numbers just kept falling with each passing day. The film’s earnings yesterday, 30 May, were as low as Rs40 lakh.
India’s Most Wanted was made at a budget of Rs35 crore, which is way ahead of its current grand total.
Meanwhile, Omung Kumar B’s PM Narendra Modi (2019) has fared better than India’s Most Wanted but the film is still heading towards a failure. The box office story of the Vivek Oberoi-starrer has been similar to the Arjun Kapoor-starrer, with the only difference being that it earned slightly more than the other film.
PM Narendra Modi was made at an estimated budget of Rs25 crore while its grand total currently stands only at Rs15.75 crore.
What’s worse for both the films is that Salman Khan’s keenly awaited Bharat (2019) is releasing on Wednesday, 5 June. Hence, they have fewer days left to earn at the ticket window.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu-starrer De De Pyaar De made a decent Rs21.75 crore in its second week. The Akiv Ali-directed film has so far made Rs78.69 crore.
