Miss U Mister song ‘Tujhi Athavan’: Mrunmayee Deshpande, Siddharth Chandekar’s love passes distance test

The teaser and poster of Miss U Mister had revealed that the film will explore the long-distance relationship of a married couple. The song ‘Tujhi Athavan’ explores the day-to-day lives of a couple living in different countries.

Siddharth Chandekar and Mrunmayee Deshpande’s characters are deeply in love. But an obstacle crops up when Chandekar has to move to Europe for work. The couple bid each other a tearful goodbye. Their respective lives after separation is what the song ‘Tujhi Athavan’ is about.

It is a simple song with lyrics by Vaibhav Joshi. The words portray the longing the couple feels for each other. Anandi Joshi and Alap Desai’s convincing vocals touch you. Desai is also the music composer here. His experiment of using modern tunes in a song with pure Marathi lyrics pays off.

Chandekar and Deshpande succeed in appearing like real-life couple and their act brings the track to life. The numerous situations shown in the song are realistic and, at times, amusing. A couple of intimate moments are portrayed without moving away from the family movie space.

Miss U Mister is Sameer Joshi’s second film after the multi-starrer Bus Stop (2017). The film will be released on 21 June. Watch the song below.
