Box office: Andhadhun well on its way to beat Bajrangi Bhaijaan in China


The dark comedy, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu, has collected $44.7 million (approximately Rs309 crore nett) since its release in China on 3 April.

Director Sriram Raghavan's dark comedy Andhadhun (2018) continues its fine run in China and is well on its way to surpass Salman Khan-starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015). The dark comedy, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu, has collected $44.7 million (approximately Rs309 crore nett at the current exchange rate) since its release in China on 3 April, as reported by Chinese box office portal entgroup.cn.

Andhadhun will soon go ahead of Bajrangi Bhaijaan that had grossed  $45.55 million in China. The Viacom18 Motion Pictures film, renamed Piano Player, currently has over 14,000 shows in China. Bajrangi Bhaijaan had released in China last year. Andhadhun held the third sport on the Chinese box office, that is dominated by Avengers: Endgame (2019) that has so far made a staggering $317.8 million in just five days. 

Made at an estimated budget of Rs32 crore, Andhadhun was released in India on 1,200 screens and went on to make Rs73.37 crore nett in its India business.
