Actress Rashmika Mandanna, last seen on the big screen in the Kannada film Yajamana (2019), is all set to join Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu in his next project, according to reliable sources.
Apparently, the makers have initiated talks with Mandanna, who is in the process of discussion prior to signing on the dotted line. This will be the first time she will team up with Mahesh Babu.
Mahesh, basking in the runaway success of Maharshi (2019), joins hands next with director Anil Ravipudi for an out-and-out entertainer. The project will be officially launched in June and the principal shooting will begin in July.
Currently dubbed Mahesh 26, the film will see the superstar join hands with Dil Raju for the second time. Raju was one of the producers of Maharshi, which has emerged as one of the biggest hits in Mahesh Babu’s career.
There were rumours doing the rounds that Mahesh will be seen playing a cop and mouthing dialogues in a Rayalaseema dialect in the next film. However, the makers are yet to confirm any of these reports.
Mahesh Babu is currently holidaying with his family in London, England. He is expected to attend the cricket World Cup scheduled to begin on 30 May.
Mahesh has a project with SS Rajamouli in the offing. During the promotions of Maharshi, when asked about this project, he said, "We are committed to do a project together." He added that the script had been locked and veteran producer KL Narayana was also on board.
