Girlfriend teaser 2: Sai Tamhankar dances to her own music

Last week, popular actor Amey Wagh had shared a poster of his upcoming Marathi movie Girlfriend that ended the mystery of who would play the love interest of his character, Nachiket Pradhan.

The poster had Wagh and actress Sai Tamhankar front and centre. But while the poster ended the mystery about the identity of the nerdy Nachiket's girlfriend, it generated curiosity about Tamhankar's character Alisha.

Now, Tamhankar has shared the second teaser of Girlfriend on social media.

The new 35 second teaser shows Alisha playing in a garden, breakdancing, jumping on a trampoline, and dancing on the road, always alone and lost in thought.

The teaser gives us a hint that Alisha is, perhaps, an introverted young woman. Watching the teaser, one is reminded of a famous quote that is often attributed to the great philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche: And all those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

Another aspect of the teaser that catches your attention is the catchy jazz background score.

This is the first time Amey Wagh and Sai Tamhankar are paired with each other. Girlfriend is also the directorial debut of Upendra Sidhaye, who has written the scripts of critically acclaimed movies like Mumbai Meri Jaan (2008), Killa (2015) and Drishyam (2015).

Both teasers have succeeded in generating curiosity about Wagh and Tamhankar's characters as well as about the film. Girlfriend will be released on 26 June. Watch the new teaser below and let us know if you are keen to watch this film.
