The music of Raj Chakraborty’s upcoming film Shesh Theke Shuru was launched at the Acropolis mall in Kolkata on Sunday 26 May in the presence of the director, lead artistes Jeet, Koel Mallick and Ritabhari Chakraborty, and music director Arko Pravo Mukherjee.

With Shesh Theke Suru, Jeet will be completing the fiftieth film of his career. To make the occasion special, the team of his production house, Jeet Films, had a surprise message for the actor-turned-producer from none other than Hindi film veteran Amitabh Bachchan.

In a recorded message, Bachchan said, “I am deeply humbled and honoured towards Jeet for giving me love and affection as an admirer of my work. I have seen some of your films and thank you for dedicating some songs to me. My best wishes are with you for your fiftieth film and may your film continue to receive love and affection.”

Overwhelmed, the actor expressed his gratitude towards his team for arranging the surprise for him. "I would like to emotionally thank my team for this," Jeet aka Jeetendra Madnani said. "I am yet to process the feeling and don’t know how to react. All I can say is that he has a big role to play in my career. Today, whatever I am presenting as an actor on screen is because of Mr Bachchan.”

Vocalist and music director Mukherjee is widely known for his songs in various Hindi films like Rustom (2016), Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), Gold (2018), Baaghi 2 (2018). Sesh Theke Shuru is his first project in Bengali cinema as music director and a vocalist as well.

“Jeet is an old friend of mine," Mukherjee said. "We lost touch for some time. I am very excited to have arranged music for his fiftieth film. And I am happy that the songs have received immense love already.”

Director Raj Chakraborty said both the subject and his desire to work with Jeet made him get into the project. “The film is also special for us as it is his fiftieth. The songs have already become hits. There are various kinds of songs in the film and I thank Arko for that. He is too passionate for music and can go to any extent for his work,” Chakraborty said.

Shesh Theke Shuru is slated for release on Eid, 5 June.
