Abbas-Mustan, Anupam Kher, Madhuri Dixit mourn the death of Veeru Devgan


Action director and filmmaker Veeru Devgan passed away on Monday at the age of 76.

The news of action director and filmmaker Veeru Devgan's death on Monday came as a shock to many in the industry. Devgan, 76, died on Monday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest. He is survived by wife Veena and four children, including actor Ajay Devgn and director Anil Devgan.

Among the many who took to social media to share their condolences were Anupam Kher and Poonam Dhillon. The veteran artistes have been close friends of the Devgans and have also worked with Veeru Devgan during the 1980s.

While actress Nushrat Bharucha never worked with Veeru Devgan, she did share her condolences with the family. 

Filmmakers Abbas-Mustan also shared their sense of loss on social media. 

Another director, Kunal Kohli, shared his thoughts with Ajay Devgn and his family through social media. 

Devgn's co-star and actress Madhuri Dixit Nene also shared the news on social media and conveyed her condolences to the family. 

Veeru Devgan's funeral was held at 6 pm at Juhu. Actors Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Harman Baweja along with directors Mahesh Bhatt and Ayan Mukerji had all arrived at the Devgn residence by late afternoon.
