Kiara Advani signs on for Abir Sengupta's debut Hindi feature, Indoo Ki Jawaani

Kiara Advani's rise as the new leading lady of choice seems to grow with every passing day. While she is filming the Shershaah (2020) biopic with Sidharth Malhotra, the actress has now signed on with Niranjan Iyengar and Nikkhil Advani's next production, Indoo Ki Jawaani (2020).
The film is a coming-of-age comedy, which will also mark the Bengali director Abir Sengupta's debut in Hindi cinema. Sengupta earlier directed the romantic comedy Jomer Raja Dilo Bor (2015).
Writer-producer Niranjan Iyengar shared the news on his social media platform earlier in the day.

The film features Advani as a young woman from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, who lands up on a dating app on her mobile phone. Her adventures through the app form the crux of the comic story.
Confirming the news to the daily tabloid, Mumbai Mirror, the actress said, "Indoo is edgy, lovable, and quirky. The dialect is completely new so I am going to do a lot of workshops to get it right. I can't wait to start shooting."
The actress is also playing the leading lady in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Kabir Singh (2019), featuring Shahid Kapoor, which releases on 21 June.
Indoo Ki Jawaani is likely to go on the floors this September.
