Will Super 30 clash with Ekta Kapoor’s Jabariya Jodi on 12 July?

Earlier this month, Hrithik Roshan decided to postpone his upcoming film Super 30 (2019), which would have released with the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Mental Hai Kya, which is produced by Ekta Kapoor, on 26 July. It now seems that Roshan and the makers might release the film on 12 July, as per a report by Pinkvilla.com. 

This would mean that the film will now be clashing with Ekta Kapoor’s Jabariya Jodi (2019), starring Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra. 

A source told the online portal, “They want to now come on the same day as Ekta’s other film Jabariya Jodi, which stars Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra. Super 30 is being readied for a 12 July release, two weeks before its original date. They are going to make it official soon. The team is sure of hitting the marquee on that day. Now, it needs to be seen if Ekta decides to move her project to some other day or she plans to take Hrithik head on at the plexes.”

We tried contacting producer of Super 30’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala as well as the spokesperson for the film, but they were unavailable for comments. 

The film is co-produced by Phantom Films. As the studio dissolved in 2018, Super 30 will be their last film.
