Akshay Kumar has shared the first poster of his upcoming horror comedy Laxmmi Bomb on his official Twitter page.
The film is the official Hindi remake of Raghava Lawrence’s Tamil hit Muni 2: Kanchana (2011). Raghava Lawrence is directing the Hindi version as well.
“Bringing you one bomb of a story, Laxmmi Bomb, starring Kiara Advani and yours truly," he wrote while sharing the poster.

Muni 2: Kanchana saw Raghava Lawrence play the male lead as well. The story revolves around a man who gets possessed by the spirit of a transgender who is hell-bent on revenge.
Hence, the poster of the film has Akshay Kumar resembling a transgender. He is seen putting kohl in his eyes with a great deal of concentration. The poster also justifies the title through the sketch of a bomb explosion. ‘Laxmi bomb’ is also the name of a loud firecracker that is pretty common in India. The reason for the title will be known later.
Laxmmi Bomb stars Kiara Advani opposite Akshay Kumar. The two will be seen together also in Good News later this year with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
This is Akshay Kumar’s second horror comedy after Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007). In that film, Vidya Balan was possessed by a ghost. The film also starred Shiney Ahuja.
Laxmmi Bomb will be released on 5 June 2020.
