The worldwide success of the Avengers films seems to have inspired filmmaker Rohit Shetty and his actors. Shetty is working to bring together the leads of his previous films Singham (2011) and Simmba (2018), Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, along with the hero, Akshay Kumar, of his next, Sooryavanshi (2020).
The three stars appeared in Shetty's Simmba (2018), which was released in December last year. But all three heroes did not share a frame. Both Devgn and Akshay Kumar had cameos in the film.
In promotions for his upcoming comedy De De Pyaar De, Devgn said, "There is a plan to make a cop universe film with Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi. That will be an altogether different film.
"We are building it up. We need to get the right script and we are working towards it. Singham and Simmba have become desi superheroes and now Sooryavanshi. Getting all three is a great idea," he revealed in the interview.
The actor also confirmed that he will have a cameo in Sooryavanshi (2020), which also stars Katrina Kaif.
De De Pyaar De, which also stars Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh, is due to be released on 17 May.
