Milan Talkies song 'Jobless': Kakar sisters entertain through silly lyrics set to a fun tune

Read in: Hindi

Lovestruck Shraddha Srinath enjoys being in love in this light-hearted number.

Mayur Lookhar

Love can make one lose interest in routine activities. Shraddha Srinath discovers the same in the 'Jobless' song from Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Milan Talkies. The song is written and scored by Akriti Kakar, who teams up with twins Prakriti and Sukriti Kakar to croon the track.

The lyrics sound silly, but play out just fine for the situation at hand.  A lovestruck Shraddha can barely concentrate on her work or studies. Her college friends term this state of mind as 'side effect of pyaar' and 'best feeling', or in other words, love.

The mish-mash of Hindi-English lyrics are set to a fun melody, making the song enjoyable. Akriti scores both as a singer and composer. Twin Prakriti and Sukriti ably support the older sister. The trio are a delight to hear in the chorus. The silly lyrics and light visuals entertain thoroughly.

Shraddha brings about the madness her character feels as an effect of being in love. Her nagin (snake) dance with Ali Fazal’s character is fun to watch.

Milan Talkies will be released on 15 March.
