The film, directed by Chuck Russell, shows the close friendship between man and elephant.

Raj (Vidyut Jammwal) and Bhola the elephant have been friends since childhood. The two have practically grown up together. Both are prime specimens of their race, and when Raj's friend Bhola and his clan is under threat, he steps up to protect them.

Bhola's magnificent ivory tusks catch the fancy of a poacher played by Atul Kulkarni, and action star Jammwal steps up to the plate to fight against the establishment and outsiders who dare to disturb the peace of the jungle and the animal reserve where he grew up.

Shot in Thailand and India, the trailer shows lush green locations and an easy camaraderie between Jammwal and the elephants. Of course, it goes without saying that the actor scores in the glimpses of the action sequences in the first teaser.

The family film is directed by Hollywood director Chuck Russell, and stars two new faces Pooja Sawant and Asha Bhat, alongside Jammwal. Actors Kulkarni, Akshay Oberoi and Makarand Deshpande are also part of the film.

Produced by Vineet Jain and Priti Shahani, Junglee is due to be released on 5 April 2019.
