After being out of action for over a year following the debacle of his last film Naa Peru Surya Naa Iillu India, Allu Arjun is now on a signing spree. Days after announcement of his new project with filmmaker Sukumar; reports have emerged that he will also team up with director AR Murugadoss this year.
According to a source close to Arjun, the project is still in its nascent stage and it will take a few more months before an official announcement will be made.
“Talks have been held between Murugadoss and Arjun. A story idea has been pitched and Arjun was really excited about it. Arjun will be busy with Sukumar’s project from April and it will take him at least six months to be relieved and find time for Murugadoss’s film,” a source said.
The genre of the film and other casting details are being kept under wraps.
Meanwhile, Murugadoss will commence work on his next film with superstar Rajinikanth. This is the first time the duo is joining hands for a project. Tipped to be a political thriller, the film is likely to also feature Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh as the leading ladies.
It has already been confirmed that Santosh Sivan will work the camera for the Murugadoss–Rajinikanth film, while Anirudh Ravichander will compose music.
