A one-night stand leads to a murder for actor Vikrant Massey, who plays Aditya in the upcoming Hotstar series Criminal Justice.
Aditya, a driver for a car service, meets a young woman one night and they spend the night together. In the morning, she is dead and Aditya is the prime suspect. Is he framed for it or is he a cold-blooded killer? The Indian adaptation, an official remake, of the 2008 British series Criminal Justice will bring forth Aditya's innocence or guilt as the series progresses.

The series' cast includes Pankaj Tripathi as Aditya's lawyer, Jackie Shroff as a fellow inmate, and Mita Vashisht as the prosceutor. Tripathi and Massey had starred together in the Amazon Prime web-series Mirzapur last year.
The BAFTA award-winning series was adapted in the US into the miniseries, The Night Of in 2016. Actor Riz Ahmed won the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his performance as Naz Khan.
The series, co-produced by Applause Entertainment and BBC Studios India, is due to be released on 5 April on Hotstar.
