The makers have capitalized on the ongoing 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' trend.

The ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign started by India’s prime minister Narendra Modi earlier this month has found its way into his biopic, PM Narendra Modi. The campaign was started keeping an eye on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections which are beginning next month.
Accordig to the plan, Modi and leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BP) and their followers added the prefix ‘Chowkidar’ on social media.
Now, the makers of PM Narendra Modi, the biopic on his life, have tried to capitalize on the Chowkidar trend in a recently released dialogue from the film.
We see Vivek Anand Oberoi, who plays the titular character, at loggerheads with a character played by Prashant Narayanan. Modi is seen warning the man against ‘selling’ Gujarat. He says, “Now Chowkidar is here. I will allow business in Gujarat. Not business of Gujarat. My Gujarat is not for sale.”
Interestingly, the Chowkidar (guard or watchman) reference was made by Modi for the first time in 2014 while urging the people of India to make him the next PM. But the dialogue promo released just now shows him as Gujarat’s chief minister, which was before he became the PM. So we wonder if he had used the Chowkidar reference before 2014 as well.
Directed by Omung Kumar B, PM Narendra Modi will be released on 5 April.
