Popular Telugu star Mahesh Babu on Monday became the second actor from the industry to get the rare honour of being immortalized into a wax statue after Prabhas.
Mahesh’s wax statue was unveiled at hia seven-screen superplex AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad where it will be displayed for the day and later shifted to Madame Tussauds museum in Singapore.
The unveiling of the statue was attended by Mahesh and his family, including actress wife, Namrata Shirodkar.
Over the last few weeks, the PR team of Mahesh Babu organised a few contests to screen some fans that would get an opportunity to click selfies with Mahesh’s statue.
On the career front, Mahesh is currently busy wrapping up the shoot of Vamshi Paidipally’s upcoming Telugu film Maharshi, which also stars Pooja Hegde.
Maharshi, which happens to be Mahesh Babu’s 25th film, marks his maiden collaboration with director Vamshi Paidipally.
Mahesh’s next project will be with director Ani Ravipudi, who recently delivered a blockbuster in the form of F2.
Last month, Mahesh announced he had decided to opt out of his next project with Sukumar following creative differences.
Via a tweet, Mahesh said that he would always respect him as a filmmaker par excellence.
“Due to creative differences, my film with Sukumar is not happening. I wish him all the best on the announcement of his new project. Respect always for a filmmaker par excellence. 1: Nenokkadine will remain as a cult classic. Enjoyed every moment working on that film,” Mahesh had tweeted.
