Amit Sharma's biopic on Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim has its leading lady in Keerthy Suresh. The actress has confirmed that she will join Ajay Devgn on the cast of the biopic based on the Indian football team's most successful years between 1950 and 1963.

Tabloid Mumbai Mirror quoted Keerthy saying, "Syed Abdul Rahim's story is a forgotten chapter in Indian history and I am glad the makers are telling it through a film."

The actress was last seen in the successful Telugu biopic, Mahanati (2018), based on the life of actress Savitri.

Produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Sengupta, the film is set to go on floors in June. The report quoted Kapoor denying any report that the film will be a bilingual.

"It is not being planned as a bilingual, but as a Hindi feature film," Kapoor said.

The film is yet untitled and will be directed by Badhaai Ho (2018) director Sharma.
