The actress said that the film has sequences that are tough to believe .

From the trailers of Anurag Singh’s Kesari, it seemed that Parineeti Chopra plays Akshay Kumar’s love interest in the film. But the actress revealed during a media interview that she plays the actor’s dead wife who appears in flashbacks.
“Of course the film surrounds these boys. It is a boys’ film. But at very crucial and emotional points in the film Ishar Singh [Akshay’s character] thinks about his dead wife, which is me. That is a very cool love story that has been woven into this story,” said Chopra.
The film is based on the accomplishment of 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian army who battled 10,000 Afghans to hold the forts of Saragarhi in 1897.
Mainstream Hindi cinema is known for adding fictional elements and dramatizing real-life stories. The actress said that although they have dramatized events, there is no fiction in Kesari. “The special thing about Kesari is that despite the dramatization, all incidents are true. While watching you might feel certain incidents can never happen, but they have happened. It’s such a story of bravery that it’s unbelievable. It’s so larger-than-life. But there were such people in our country. Everything is real,” she said.
Produced by Dharma Productions, the film will be out in theatres on 21 March.
